You Are What You Et… And How Much You Sweat!

This is my first post on my new blog here. I hope to be adding a lot of content in the weeks and months ahead.

There’s that old expression that says “You are what you eat.” And that’s true. But I like to change it up a bit. “You are what you et… and how much you sweat.” Because you aren’t what you eat right now (though it counts, of course). You are what you et yesterday, last week and last month. And you are how much you exercise and how well you take care of yourself.

So be careful about what you put in your mouth right now, of course. But don’t beat up on yourself too much about what was. What you ate yesterday and what you didn’t do for fitness is gone… past… done. Maybe even forgotten. What’s important now is what you do today, tomorrow and next week.

The human body is an amazing machine. It can take a lot of abuse and lack of use. But it can’t take it forever. Get off your butt, get out to workout, watch what you eat and I’ll see you at the beach…
